Overview
Reporting to the Director of Business Growth and Development, this exciting and challenging leadership role is responsible for the development and management of the University’s Future Student Engagement activities that will deliver quality proactive, customer focused outcomes aligned to the University’s operational and strategic priorities. If you have experience of leading Sales / Growth teams with an absolute focus on delivering an exceptional Customer Experience - and would love to work in a rewarding environment, then please read on.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Leader who loves setting high standards for delivering Customer Experiences and thrives on achieving Growth and Sales targets to become the next Manager of Future Student Engagements at ECU. The University has a game changing plan to open a Perth City Campus in the next few years – and this role will play a key role in ensuring that the right numbers of students are engaged to commence their studies there.

There will be a requirement to supervise the Lead Generation and enquiry management service at the frontline and manage High School, Partner and Pathway provider relationships. Managing a team of experienced permanent and casual staff, this role is also responsible for the successful delivery of over 500 future student engagement events a year and contributing to a strong pipeline of future students for the University. This role will focus primarily on domestic growth activities for our three campuses in metro Perth and the South West.  Additionally, this role is responsible for growth activities that also increase participation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander future students along with, international onshore future students and remote and regional areas.

This role will also work with the Manager, Customer Strategy and Planning to target opportunity areas for Growth, and look at prioritisation and value of activities whilst ensuring the delivery of the University’s High School Leaver Strategy.

The successful candidate will have experience in both customer experience, sales / growth environments and corporate event management environments – whilst Experience in higher education is highly desirable.

Flexibility is both provided and required within the role to ensure effective coverage across three campuses and a full calendar of events.

The successful candidate will have strong skills and experience in:

  • Leading a large team to deliver customer focused information and enquiry & lead management & conversion processes with experience in leading through change.
  • Best practice student recruitment and corporate event management processes
  • Stakeholder management, communications, and continuous improvement skills
  • Experience in Salesforce CRM (or similar) to ensure consistent customer experience, data capture and lead management.
  • Maximising data to recognise and then act on customer acquisition and retention opportunities.
  • Utilising best practice customer service to develop a first point resolution process for student that is personalised and demonstrates care.
  • Workforce/ Operating model management, to ensure resources are effectively allocated where they can deliver the most value for investment.
  • Creating an engaging culture, back up with focus on Coaching, Development, Performance Management and putting the customer at the heart of everything.
  • Productivity focus to ensure processes are optimised to create savings and improved experiences.
  • Developing and managing strong relationships at senior levels.
  • Problem solving and decision making in a complex organisation.
