About the team
The Finance division plays a crucial role in maintaining the fiscal health of the institution. With a focus on strategic financial advice, robust financial management frameworks, and meticulous oversight, our aim is to support the university's mission through prudent financial management.
About the opportunity
You'll report directly to the Senior Manager (Financial Planning & Analytics) and will oversee a dedicated team of financial professionals.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective allocation and management of our financial resources. You will also be entrusted with providing direct financial performance management support to budget holders. Your responsibilities will include coordinating budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes, as well as contributing to executive-level reporting. Additionally, you'll lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement, driving enhancements in financial models and decision-making processes.
About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency.
- Full professional membership in a recognized accounting body.
- Extensive experience in financial performance management, management accounting, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management and effective communication.
- Proficiency in various computing tools and strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent project management skills.
