  • Lecturer – $126,364 to $149,350 pa (including salary of $106,780 to $126,203 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)  
  • Senior Lecturer – $153,950 to $176,466 pa (including salary of $130,090 to $149,117 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

An exciting opportunity has become available within CQUniversity’s School of Engineering and Technology (SET), specifically within the College of Project Management, Built Environment and Assets and Maintenance Management, for a  Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Project Management to join the team. We are seeking an experienced academic with comprehensive industry experience to play a key role in the utilisation of innovative pedagogical practice that stimulates learning and guides the development of interdisciplinary research across SET.

In this role you will have the opportunity to develop your professional and research skills and work with knowledgeable colleagues in state-of-the-art teaching spaces. You will mentor junior academic staff while playing a significant role in reviewing and updating Project Management courses ensuring the curriculum is current, of leading-edge quality and reflects a depth and breadth of discipline expertise. With your excellent track record of research publications and well-established research funding profile, you will also regularly engage and lead quality research programs resulting in high research impact.

Position Requirements - Lecturer
  • Possession or nearing completion of a Doctoral qualification (PhD) in Project Management, or a relative discipline. Relevant postgraduate qualification Applicants with long-term industry experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Professional membership with the Project Management Institute (PMP) and/or PRINCEII.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching / Education.
  • Undertake original research to publish in refereed journals and collaborate with other academic staff both within and outside of the University.
  • Proven ability to contribute to curriculum development, writing and evaluation, particularly using flexible modes of delivery.
  • Proven ability to undertake cutting-edge research and work with researchers within and outside the CQUniversity.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate University students with experience engaging with tertiary students and supporting their educational development through multi-modal delivery strategies.

Position Requirements - Senior Lecturer
  • Possess a doctoral degree in the field of Project Management or a related discipline
  • Professional membership with the Project Management Institute (PMP) and/or PRINCEII.
  • Possess a high level of interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team across both the education and research sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record of research funded projects and ability in undertaking outstanding research and leading research teams and projects.
  • Demonstrated high profile publication record in high-quality refereed journals, textbooks or teaching resources.
  • Proven record of obtaining significant competitive external research grants.
  • Demonstrated record of successfully supervising postgraduate research students.
  • Demonstrated strong record of tertiary-level teaching including course coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, actively engage and educate diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work positively and cooperatively with students, other staff, and external organisations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion principles and their application in promoting an inclusive workplace for colleagues and students.
