About the Role
The role, located at The University of Melbourne's Parkville campus, involves coordinating learning and teaching in bioscience and clinical practice for postgraduate nursing programs. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development, subject delivery, and simulation design, demonstrating excellence in teaching, research, and scholarship in nursing education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identification of appropriate approaches to teaching through analysis of learning needs of students
  • Apply contemporary pedagogical insights to teaching practice
  • Participate in the Department of Nursing strategic activities by engaging in scholarship and the translation of research evidence in the discipline.
  • Actively participate at Department, School and/or Faculty meetings and contribute to planning or committee work to build capacity in the Department/School/discipline.

Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in delivering nursing programs, excelling in curriculum design, assessment, and program coordination. With strong interpersonal skills, they cultivate collaborative relationships, embodying ethical scholarship that values diversity.

You will also have:

  • Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • A masters degree in nursing and recent clinical experience working in nursing
  • A PhD in Nursing or health related discipline

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
