About the Role
The role involves coordinating and delivering paediatric intensive care nursing subjects for the Graduate Certificate at The University of Melbourne. You will have recent clinical experience in paediatric intensive care nursing that you will use to contribute to curriculum development. You will actively engage in a reflective teaching practice to enhance the overall nursing education program.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate and deliver paediatric intensive care nursing subjects and provide input into other subjects as required.
- Collaborate with Course Coordinator, Director of Teaching and Learning and Program Coordinator of Specialty nursing programs.
- Identify appropriate approaches to teaching through analysis of learning needs of students.
- Apply contemporary pedagogical insights to teaching practice, including those specific to the discipline of nursing.
Who We Are Looking For
You possess excellent problem-solving and organisational skills, coupled with a high level of interpersonal, written, and oral communication abilities. You will bring a capacity for negotiation, initiative, and innovation, fostering effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
You will also have:
- Master’s level degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Specialty-level qualifications in paediatric intensive care nursing.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and subject coordination.

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
