  • Full-time (1.0FTE), fixed term contract until 31 December 2025 based in UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance at the City East campus
  • Commencement Salary: $96,929 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role

As a Lecturer in Physiotherapy you will be responsible for contributing to the teaching, scholarship, and professional activities within UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance. Your primary focus will be on preparation and delivery of teaching, student support and associated administrative duties within the Physiotherapy discipline, however, due to an increased focus on multidisciplinary teaching, you may be required to work with multidisciplinary student groups. 

You will use contemporary professional/discipline-related knowledge in your teaching practice and carry out activities to develop your scholarly expertise.

In addition, you will be working collaboratively with staff and stakeholders across the University and Clinical Partners to ensure course content and quality reflects contemporary professional practice.

About UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance

The Allied Health and Human Performance Academic Unit offers a wide range of degrees and conducts research in the fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, medical radiation sciences, medical sonography, speech pathology, clinical exercise physiology, exercise and nutrition, health sciences, public health, exercise and sport science, outdoor education and environmental leadership and human movement.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of courses (as appropriate) and work with the team in the development of program change and innovation including flexible and online delivery
  • Apply research and scholarship to the development of courses, including investigating and developing alternative teaching methods and the initiation and development of new material
  • Undertake developmental activities to advance knowledge of effective discipline-specific pedagogical practices
  • Create, foster and enhance connections with clinical partners and consumers that assist in the advancement of University and Academic Unit objectives

Essential Skills and Experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, together with registration or eligibility for registration as a Physiotherapist in Australia through AHPRA
  • Show experience and knowledge in contemporary physiotherapy, particularly related to musculoskeletal physiotherapy
  • Ability to undertake a range of teaching duties including the preparation of appropriate teaching materials and resources and the ability to actively engage and educate a student group
