Lecturer - Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology (Teaching & Research)

  • Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week)
  • Duration: Continuing
  • Remuneration: $119K - $140K base (+17% super and leave loading)
  • Work rights: Full Australian working rights.
  • Location: Kensington, Sydney

The Organisation

The School of Health Sciences is rapidly expanding to service education agendas based on our four ground-breaking health professional education programs. These programs will see the scope of our teaching effort broaden significantly and shape the future Health workforce in Australia and beyond.

Why this role matters  

The appointee will make a significant contribution to the development and delivery of the Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology, teaching within the discipline, and through establishment of a portfolio of research.

Who you are:

  • A PhD in a related discipline.
  • Current accreditation or ability to gain accreditation in Exercise Physiology with Exercise and Sports Science Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in sub-disciplinary areas of neuromuscular or musculoskeletal exercise physiology (desirable).
  • Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, including educational technologies.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales).
  • Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for research leadership.
  • A track record of significant involvement with the profession and/or industry.
