About the Role 

As the Lecturer in Electrical Energy Engineering, you will be expected to prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and workshops and to assess students in the relevant discipline both on campus and online.  This includes developing and supporting academic programs and working with the academic team in the development of program change and innovation.  This position will also be expected to mentor and counsel students on academic matters and may also supervise honours, masters and PhD students.  

This position is within the Department of Engineering Technologies, where they delivers high quality personalised education and fosters a strong research culture that includes international collaboration, competitive grants, and high-quality publications.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to undertake teaching, associated administrative duties, coordination and curriculum development at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Demonstrated commitment to leading edge/best practice education, including blended learning formats, online teaching and the use of case studies, role-plays and/or simulations in the learning environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching/research with Labview, PSSE, PSS Sincal, and other energy relevant software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to research in the university context, a capacity in the use of a variety of research methods and a track record of publishing in electrical energy transition.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively and cooperatively with others in a team environment and an ability to manage the teaching team.

Qualifications

  • An earned doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline or a related field
  • A teaching qualification
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body
