Salary package: $89,134 - $102,600 per annum plus 17% superannuation

Position overview

The Investment Analyst role is a key member of the Investment Office within the Financial & Business Services Division (F&BS).
Finance & Business Services (F&BS) supports the University's strategic and operational goals through the provision of professional corporate financial management and administration, reporting, and effective business services. Its core responsibilities also include policy development; investment management; procurement and contracts advice; travel management, fleet management, mailroom services, insurance, and printing.
The Investment Analyst – Portfolios is an integral member of the Investment Office and contributes to the provision of comprehensive management reporting and analysis on the University’s investment portfolios. The Investment Analyst – Portfolios works collaboratively within the budget process to report and advise on budgetary decisions impacts on the University’s credit rating.
This is a unique opportunity to work on new projects, which will develop your investment skills on both the buy and sell side.
Our ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities, and understands investment concepts such as duration, information ratio, and alpha. A high level of attention to detail, organisational skills and strong communication is crucial in the role. The role requires manipulating large datasets from multiple sources in Excel. Experience with Python or Bloomberg will be highly regarded.
