About the opportunity

The Internal Communications Assistant works in collaboration with staff in professional service units and portfolios and provides support for the delivery of audience-driven communications. The Internal Communications Assistant is responsible for supporting weekly staff and student e-newsletters, managing administrative and stakeholder enquiries, and creates high-quality audience-driven messaging and content for a variety of digital communication channels.

About you

  • demonstrated experience in a communications role
  • has demonstrated writing and editing skills
  • has demonstrated experience with content management and digital publishing systems
  • agile and adaptable in all approaches to work
  • has the ability to pivot between tasks and prioritising workload in a fast-paced environment 
  • excellent organisational skills to meet strict deadlines
  • confidence in dealing with a broad range of stakeholders and managing relationships
  • is keen to develop their career in communications in a large organisation.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
