Overview
Research Services at Edith Cowan University has recently expanded to provide outstanding support to the University’s growing research priorities, particularly in the area of industry engagement.

We are seeking two enthusiastic and proactive people to join our Research Services Team, to work with the Director, Research Services, to coordinate a range of projects and events to support industry engagement programs at ECU.  These are re-envisioned roles and the successful people will use their project management and communication skills to lead research engagement opportunities across the University, one with a focus on health disciplines and one with a focus on HASS disciplines. The successful candidates will be working with academic staff and Higher Degree by Research candidates to identify research skills, capabilities and competencies aligned to industry needs, identifying and maximising industry-engaged research which leads to real-world impact and mutually beneficial outcomes.  The successful people will be responsible for planning and delivering on projects that will contribute to ECU’s research-related industry engagement objectives as detailed in the ECU Strategic Plan 2022-2026 .

To be successful in these roles you will need:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in providing high-level administrative services including the provision of advice and recommendations on issues of research industry engagement and on the imperatives and benefits of collaborating with industry. 
  • Experience in the coordination of projects and/or events including managing timelines and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present information in a way that is meaningful and understandable to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated strategic relationship building skills and stakeholder engagement both within and external to the University.
  • A well established network of industry partners relevant to either Health or to Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences disciplines will be an advantage.

Benefits & Remuneration
These 1.0 FTE, two-year fixed-term contract positions attract a remuneration of $97,113 to $108,813 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
