If you want a career where you can thrive, be challenged and do meaningful work, you’re in the right place.

Why Your Role Matters:
We’re seeking an HR Business Partner to oversee the development of our newly designed Contingent Workforce HRBP team as we continue to build subject matter expertise around casual employment. This team will lead on operational input for new legislation, engagement, onboarding and strategic workforce planning. You’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the best minds in their field and be inspired by the talent and passion of colleagues and students.

With each Faculty/Division granted a dedicated HR BP team to service their strategic and operational HR needs, you’ll enjoy working with a sizable and collaborative cohort of HR peers across the university.

Your Day to day:

  • Lead and develop your HR team to provide high quality HR advice.
  • Initiate and build effective partnerships with clients and proactively support them.
  • Implement strategic HR activities, including workforce planning and change, organisational design, talent management and succession planning.
  • Assist clients to develop contemporary recruitment and global mobility strategies.
  • Advise on performance management and the application of the Enterprise Agreement
  • Partner with the broader HR specialist teams to provide expert, tailored advice and offerings.
  • Work closely with the Head of HR Business Partnering to contribute to the overall HR strategy and projects to develop our HR function.

What sets you apart from the rest?

  • A relevant degree coupled with significant contemporary generalist HR experience.
  • Experience in successfully leading a team of HR professionals.
  • Up to date knowledge of recruitment, performance management, succession planning, global mobility, remuneration and benefits, industrial relations, organisational development and workplace diversity HR practices and legislation.
  • A natural influencer with the ability to coach and inspire people and lead HR best practice.
  • Experience partnering with people to deliver high quality, professional and consistent HR services.
  • Confidence in developing and implementing effective HR solutions and initiatives.
  • A contributor to the broader organisation through projects and collaboration

Benefits and Culture:
Based at our Kensington Campus UNSW offers a competitive salary and access to a plethora of UNSW-perks including additional leave, discounts and entitlements and a culture of lifelong learning and development. We value work-life balance, where you’ll be supported by generous benefits, flexible working to suit you and progressive HR practices.
