About the opportunity

The Advancement Office manages relationships and builds support through our inspirational network of alumni and friends, as well as our local, national and international communities, for the advancement and benefit of the University in its mission to address some of Tasmania’s and the world’s greatest challenges. 

The Graduate Advancement Services Coordinator is a dedicated role providing specialised support in systems management, data mining, analytics and reporting and enables Advancement Services to identify, collect, clean, analyse and interpret data to inform data driven decision making and implement new and effective Alumni Relations and Fundraising programs and activities.

The Graduate Advancement Services Coordinator will be expected to work with a degree of initiative and can enjoy flexible working arrangements that meet the mutual needs of the University and the post holder. There will be specific programs of activities delivered by our People and Wellbeing team, across the period of your contract, to facilitate your learning.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide specialist assistance to the Manager, Advancement Services and Advancement Services Officer (Data Management & Analytics).
  • Systems and database support through the identification, collection, updating, cleaning and analysing of data.
  • Data mining, analysis and report generation, and other data tools used by the Advancement Office.
  • Manage an ongoing register of data and system requests from within the Advancement Office and around the institution.
  • Propose and map solutions for cross system efficiency, ensuring data management best practice.
  • Record system procedures to generate a digital manual of support materials.
  • Project management support and systems training, education, support and user experience to Advancement Office staff.

What we’re looking for:

  • Completion of relevant degree.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with customer relationship databases (CRM) databases and an understanding of systems and process improvement.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and analytics software and ability to understand new platforms and systems quickly and accurately.
  • Solutions driven with the ability to contribute to effective process improvement.
  • Provide timely service delivery and manage a register of data and system requests and competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and consistency.
  • Confident in working both independently and in a cross-team setting.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $86,321 comprising base salary within the range of $69,646 to $73,779 plus 17% superannuation.
