The Future Student Engagements team is driven by the genuine desire to help future students transform their lives through education. The team employs a variety of sales and marketing strategies aimed at targeting prospective student cohorts, and their key influencers, and to position ECU as a leading public university in WA. The team is instrumental in promoting ECU’s courses, providing advice on admission requirements and information about entry pathways. The team also plays a pivotal role in managing the University's relationships with high school career counsellors, Heads of Learning disciplines, VET coordinators, industry partners, TAFE/RTOs and other education associations and providers.
This rewarding and engaging front-line role will be the face of ECU for students considering their next steps in Higher Education and is a great opportunity to engage with them on campus or at events, plus play a key part helping them in their journey and make a genuine difference to their life. As a Future Student Officer, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely information and assistance to future student’s
and duties pertaining to excellent customer service. This includes, face-to-face enquiries, as part of a walk-in campus service, and at future student engagement events, providing information on ECU courses and entry pathways. Key to the role is also the effective and consistent capture of prospective student lead information and input into the ECU customer relationship management system, in readiness for lead nurture, and conversion.
What you’ll do:
- Help future students plot their exciting Higher Education journey by advising and assisting them and their influencers and discussing suitable information about ECU courses, admissions requirements, entry pathways and student life to position ECU as a preferred higher education provider, through face-to-face and/or virtual interactions.
- Provide assistance to the Future Student Engagements Coordinators at engagement events (Career
- Expos, Information Evenings, High School Expos, Open days).
- Be responsible for lead capture and follow-up through face-to-face engagement and ensuring accurate and timely entry into Salesforce.
- Provide administrative support to the Future Students Engagement team, including event registrations, data, and inventory management.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s processes and services to prospective students to provide a positive experience, through the active participation in process renewal initiatives and the sharing of relevant and applicable knowledge.
Key Criteria
- Have a genuine desire to help students transform their lives through higher education;
- Previous experience in customer focused information services and enquiry support service support and administration tasks;
- Ability to work cooperatively with others to accomplish joint tasks and shared outcomes
- Ability to investigate, identify and analyse key issues and the associate alternative, benefits and costs to develop practical solutions;
- The ability to organise and present information, views, and concepts in a concise, understandable, and interesting format for a variety of audiences;
- Previous experience in higher education (desirable)

This position attracts a remuneration of $71,918 - $76,598 per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
