About the opportunity

We are looking for a Finance Manager, with a strong analytical background. You will provide financial management, advice, analysis, reports, services and solutions. In this role, you will be supporting the Directors of PSUs and DVC portfolios by providing operational financial management, advice, analysis, reports, services and solutions. Utilising your highly developed partnering skills, you will be providing expert assistance and guidance in relation to all the financial affairs and resources within the client portfolio.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Partner with key leaders within your client group to contribute to the development of annual client plans that identify the current key issues and needs for the portfolio.
  • Provide insights and decision-making support through advanced accounting and management reporting, performance analysis, financial modelling, and commercial advice.
  • Support your clients with the implementation of strategic transformation, project and change initiatives and ensure the successful implementation and realisation of key outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and new initiatives within both wider Financial Services and across Faculties and Schools.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Management/relevant field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Part qualified or membership of CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a Finance Manager/Finance Business Partner within a large and complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to provide operational financial insights, sound financial management, decision support, advice and analysis to a varied client group, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Extensive experience in building complex financial reporting and analysis, budget/forecast preparation and analysis, KPI reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Proactive engagement with key stakeholders in the client portfolio to ensure effective and efficient financial administration and management.
  • An agile and flexible approach that can adapt to continually evolving processes.
  • Outstanding presentation, communication, stakeholder and influencing skills.
