The role

  • Continuing, Full time (0.8 FTE considered for the right candidate)
  • Level 8 - $107,199 to $121,340 pa FTE (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie or Wagga Wagga

We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Officer to join our busy and dynamic Office. Reporting directly to the Director of Portfolio Strategy and Operations (Academic), the Executive Officer will play a pivotal role in providing high-level administrative support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic). In addition to this, the successful candidate will be tasked with providing strategic, policy, and budget advice, as well as overseeing the day-to-day management of the Office.

About you

  • Excellent organisational, analytical and influencing skills. Financial knowledge would be highly regarded
  • High level communication (including strong report writing) and interpersonal skills appropriate for engaging with executive, academic and professional stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and in a team to meet multiple deadlines and balance competing priorities
  • Ability to adapt to changing organisational and external environments

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic is responsible for the operations of the Faculties and Schools and for learning and teaching and student academic support services at Charles Sturt University: the Division of Learning and Teaching, the Division of Library Services, the Division of Student Success and the Office of Academic Quality and Standards. This includes responsibility for the course profile and, with Charles Sturt's Academic Senate, for course quality, learning and teaching quality, and academic integrity. The Office is also responsible for Charles Sturt’s Education Strategy (2030).
