  • Full-time, fixed term contract until 31 December 2025
  • Commencement Salary: $76,304 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About You 

You are a highly motivated Executive Assistant and Project Officer with exceptional relationship building and maintenance skills, and a keen eye for detail. You establish credibility through being honest, reliable, accountable and responsive and provide solutions in a timely manner through innovative thinking.  

About the Role 

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, Office of the Provost and Chief Academic Officer, you will be responsible for high-level executive, administrative and project support to ensure the smooth operation of the Office. You will provide timely accurate and confidential high-level executive support, working with independence and exercising initiative to contribute to unit goals and objectives. 

About the Office of the Provost and Chief Academic Officer 

The Office of the Provost and Chief Academic Officer is located within Chancellery and Council Services, home to the offices of the University’s Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and coordinating portfolio senior managers. 

The Office of the Provost and Chief Academic Officer provides strategic support and advice to the Provost and Chief Academic Officer and the Pro Vice Chancellor; Teaching & Learning to facilitate the achievement of the University’s strategies to develop, innovate and enhance world-leading educational offerings and curriculum design and delivery. Activities include administration of a complex executive environment as well as project management, liaison with the Executive Group, and government agencies, and oversight of the University’s teaching and learning governance, regulatory and assurance frameworks.

Essential Skills and Experience 

  • Proven experience providing high level, organised support as a member of a dynamic team by proactively responding to challenges, meeting deadlines, prioritising competing demands and exercising independent judgement 
  • High level written communication skills and the ability to independently produce a range of high-quality documentation 
  • Demonstrated project management experience which involves high level support to complex projects 
  • Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to distil complex information into clear, succinct documents, using initiative and problem-solving skills 
  • Resilience, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to operate strategically within a busy and complex environment to deal effectively with competing demands
