About the Role
Join the newly established ADAPT Lab as an Education Technologist, where you'll be heavily involved in the development and maintenance of digital learning tools, and contribute to innovative educational practices. With expertise in digital education technologies and Generative AI, alongside strong coding skills and problem-solving abilities, you'll collaborate closely with team members to drive efficiency and excellence in education. Reporting to the Senior Education Technologist, you'll play a key role in advancing teaching and research outcomes within the Department of Anatomy and Physiology.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, implementation and maintenance of digital learning tools for academic programs taught by the Department.
  • Development of digital learning tools in Generative AI, virtual reality, desktop, and mobile environments including programming, system architecture, security, authentication, and UX/UI design as appropriate.
  • Providing expertise in digital learning methods, resources, and technology.
  • Curation of existing digital learning tools.

Who We Are Looking For
You will be an ideal candidate if you possess excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes on a large scale. Additionally, your strong time management skills and ability to quickly grasp new concepts make you well-suited for adapting to dynamic environments and meeting deadlines efficiently.

You will also have:

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification, along with relevant experience, or an equivalent blend of relevant education/training and experience.
  • Significant experience in developing digital learning tools including digital assessments.
  • Experience in AI and machine learning concepts, especially in generative models.
  • Ability to interpret client requirements in the design, development and build of digital learning assets, activities and assessments for an optimum student experience.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
