The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking to appoint an outstanding Director, School of Engineering (SoE) with the ANU College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics.

SoE runs on an interdisciplinary approach that is embedded in their educational programs through their unique systems engineering focus in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The School collaborates with researchers around the world from a range of globally recognised Universities which exposes the student cohort of the school to both national and international opportunities. The School’s physical infrastructure includes world-class research and teaching laboratories as well as state-of-the-art facilities, including MakerSpace and Workshop facilities, that are available to students, staff, and other collaborative partners.

Reporting to the Dean of the ANU College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics, the School Director provides leadership and fosters excellence across the range of the School’s activities including research, education, and external engagement. The appointee will lead the School in the next phase of its evolution, facilitating and promoting a culture of high-performance and collegiality. A member of the College Executive Committee, they will be an effective advocate for the School, and will work collegially with other senior staff of the university to achieve the strategic aims of the College and the University.
