Salary package: $89,134 - $117,567 per annum plus 17% superannuation

The Position
The Detector System Specialist will report to the DEC Discipline Lead and will be responsible for the design and development of technologies and instrumentation and provide technical expertise in support of the RSAA astronomical instrumentation programs in the area of electronics, and/or optical detector systems.

The Person
We are looking for qualified (degree in Science, Engineering or related discipline) Detector System Specialist at ANU Officer 6/7 or 8 level with experience in a multi-disciplinary technical environment and/or working on multi-disciplinary technical projects, as well technical experience in two or more technical areas of embedded electronics, signal processing, rapid prototyping, applied physics, space engineering or numerical data analysis .  A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key.
