Casual Hourly Rate: HEW 4 Casual - $48.41 per hour + 11.5% Superannuation

About the Role: 

Reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager (Research Contracts), you will work closely with the Research Contract Advisor to provide administration support to several teams across Deakin University.
Working within a busy environment, you will be pivotal to the team’s data ecosystem, entering contract information into various software platforms such as MS Excel, Smartsheet, Research Master and Content Manager.

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills coupled with accurate data entry skills
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines

  • On the job training and support will be provided
  • This role requires the incumbent to apply for and maintain a Working With Children Check

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • You will be required to work with software packages (such as MS Excel, Smartsheet, Research Master and Content Manager) to manage, enter, validate and file data relating to university research contracts
  • Receive, collect or collate data relating to the formation of university research contracts
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to communicate and handover information once a contract has been entered into the systems and is ready for post execution management by the relevant business teams
  • Triage, respond and resolve data queries as they arise in line with protocol & contract requirements
  • Assist in generating or extracting ad-hoc reports based on information in existing software systems
  • Ensure regular communication & escalation to expedite issue resolution of outstanding queries
  • Engage in regular team meetings and planning activities
  • Ability to manage sensitive information discreetly and confidential
