Provide exceptional professional data management and analysis support to Sydney Future Students to support direct communications with prospective students
6 month Full-time casual contract
HE07 Step 1 $71.61 per hour excluding superannuation
About the opportunity
The Prospect and Data Analyst will support the Manager, Lead Nurture and Conversion, with the implementation of the Sydney Future Students lead nurture and conversion plan across international and domestic markets through the delivery of data, analysis and business insights into the prospective student (customer) lifecycle.
The Prospect and Data Analyst will collate and analyse data and draft reports for internal business processes and external regulatory reporting. The Prospect and Data Analyst will support the collation, distribution and management of lead lists, including preparing all data sets for electronic, direct mail and student recruitment activities and communications. The successful candidate will ensure the lead data is as clean and accurate as possible, utilising the available tools and platforms to maintain the data and adhering to internal and external data handling and privacy policies.
The Prospect and Data Analyst should have practical experience using a Customer Relationship Management platform, preferably Salesforce, to track communication with potential students. The Analyst will leverage the data to analyse customer insights that the Manager, Lead Nurture and Conversion will use to create an effective customer journey, direct communication campaigns, and design conversion tactics efficiently.
The Analyst is responsible for preparing monthly campaign reports and sharing data-driven insights with the Lead Nurture and Conversion Manager and Director of Faculty Partnerships and Recruitment Services. This is crucial for shaping the communication strategy of Sydney Future Students. Also, the Analyst should create monthly reports that the Manager, Lead Nurture and Conversion can share with the domestic and international teams to help in decision-making for their recruitment efforts in-market.
Working alongside the Manager, Lead Nurture and Conversion, the Prospect and Data Analyst will advise the Director, Faculty Partnerships and Recruitment Services on key data quality and maintenance issues and recommend new data collection processes and platforms that would support improved analysis capability and ensure best practice data handling and adherence with privacy regulations.
The Prospect and Data Analyst will collaborate with colleagues across Sydney Future Students to build surveys for prospective students in Qualtrics and other survey software to gather and analyse consumer behaviour and insights. Assisting the Manager and senior leadership team in Sydney Future Students, the Analyst will provide accurate and timely information to support planning processes for peak periods where data and insights into prospective student behaviour and engagement throughout the customer journey cycle are required.
You will be responsible for:
actively contributing to executing the Sydney Future Students' lead nurture and conversion plan across domestic and international markets
managing Salesforce leads and other source data sets, curating precise lists for targeted email and SMS campaigns, and monitoring engagement and performance metrics

monitoring and assessing direct communications (email, SMS and phone) campaign performance, providing insights for continuous improvement
maintaining meticulous documentation of Salesforce and other data handling processes, configurations, and campaign performance for knowledge sharing

playing a key role in supporting the University of Sydney in achieving student recruitment targets
collaborating with the admissions team to understand key dates, exclusions and nuances with data
maintaining data integrity and complying with privacy laws requiring ethical data collection, storage, and distribution practices, including managing unsubscribe lists
