About the position

The Head of Campus Office supports delivery of the University’s Strategic Plan and the University’s Strategy for Regional Victoria. The Head of Campus Office is accountable for overall management of the campus; student and staff experience, academic leadership, management of the University’s involvement with critical incidents on and off campus, campus master planning and budgets, campus operations and administration and research development.

This position, reporting to the Associate Head of Campus, will play an important role in supporting delivery of strategy and providing administration and project support to the Head of Campus, Associate Head of Campus, Executive Officer (Albury-Wodonga), key staff and campus activities.

Working collegially with the wider Regional portfolio, Divisions, Schools and other areas of the University this role is required to exercise a high degree of initiative, organisation, and confidentiality.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have;

  • Degree with subsequent relevant experience to consolidate the theories and principles learned, or extensive experience, leading to either the development of specialist expertise or to the development of broad knowledge in an administrative field, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise developed through extensive relevant experience and application. 
  • Demonstrated ability to gain a conceptual understanding of relevant policies, procedures or systems and interpretation in the application of policy and/or precedent.
  • Ability to innovate and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the activities of self and/or others including coaching, motivation and performance management.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Demonstrated high level written communication skills, including experience preparing reports, newsletters, staff emails, minutes and drafting correspondence.
