The Opportunity

UNSW is launching the Liverpool Innovation Precinct (LIP) Health Entrepreneurship Program to empower South West Sydney based researchers and entrepreneurs with starting and scaling their ventures, encourage more women and other under-represented founders from CALD backgrounds into entrepreneurship, with specific focus on supporting social enterprises solving for unmet needs in communities across the Liverpool Innovation Precinct and South-West Sydney. 

As a member of the UNSW Founders Team , you'll develop skill-building programs and promote UNSW's engagement in South-Western Sydney. You'll also play a key role in creating the Entrepreneurship Hub within the Liverpool Innovation Precinct to nurture and accelerate the next generation of entrepreneurs in the region, leveraging the LIP Health Entrepreneurship Program platform to promote UNSW and its Greater Sydney Strategy.

Who you are

You have a relevant tertiary qualification and or an equivalent level of knowledge in program and/or event delivery as well as: -

  • Understanding of current entrepreneurship education and startup methodologies, along with a strong grasp of the startup ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in design thinking and entrepreneurship methodologies
  • Experience in supporting entrepreneurs and students through coaching and mentoring.
  • Program management experience is desirable
  • Ability to facilitate group workshops/training and comfort with public speaking and event hosting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships and effective communication with stakeholders
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a team, yet also independently with initiative
  • Organisation skills, problem solving ability and autonomy in decision making
  • Alignment with UNSW values and objectives
  • Understanding of health and safety responsibilities
