About the Team
There are several initiatives underway across the University that will impact our employees in a variety of ways across 2024 and 2025. These include further increasing our focus on compliance work, the delivery of our ERP Program, the implementation of a new Research Management System (RMS) and the implementation of the current Enterprise Agreement.

Given the scope of these changes they will have broad impacts on individual employees as well as the role of our leaders.


About the Role
The Communications Manager – Organisational Readiness is pivotal in ensuring seamless communication across project teams, both internally and externally, throughout project lifecycles. This role involves crafting and executing communication strategies, plans, and materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and stakeholder engagement. Collaborating closely with project managers and stakeholders, the Communications Manager aligns communication initiatives with project objectives and organizational aspirations, thereby ensuring project success and stakeholder contentment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with the objectives and target audience of Workforce Strategy and Planning.
  • Effectively manage the Workforce Strategy and Planning communication channels, ensuring consistent messaging and identity across the University’s faculties and central functions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact of project communication inquires, feedback and escalations, providing timely responses and support to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular project meetings, workshops and forums to promote communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among project team members.


Who we are looking for
You are a collaborative team player adept at fostering and managing senior-level relationships internally and externally, with excellent attention to detail. A self-motivated individual, you excel in working independently across strategy development and execution within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience working in communications.
  • Proven track record in creating, managing and delivering strategic communications plans.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
