is seeking a dynamic and experienced

Communications and Engagement Coordinator

to elevate our communication efforts and enhance engagement with our diverse audience. This role is pivotal in reshaping the library's brand, developing innovative strategies, and driving our communications forward.

In this position, you will be at the forefront of transforming how the library engages with students, staff, and the community. You will develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the library’s goals and Curtin University's vision, mission, and values. Your responsibilities will include crafting, editing, and managing high-quality content for print and digital platforms, including social media, the library website, and e-newsletters.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communications Strategy: Develop, implement and drive comprehensive communication and engagement strategies that align with the library's goals and Curtin University's vision, mission, and values.
  • Content Creation: Craft, edit, and manage high-quality content for various channels, including print, digital platforms, social media, and e-newsletters.
  • Brand Development: Redesign and refresh the library's brand and engagement strategies, ensuring consistency and alignment with institutional guidelines.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with library staff, venue assistants, University Marketing and Student Engagement Teams to develop coordinated campaigns.
  • Digital Media: Utilise tools such as Adobe Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint and WordPress to create engaging visual content.
  • Website Management: Oversee the library's website, ensuring it is up-to-date and user-friendly.
  • Social Media Management: Manage the library's social media presence on platforms Instagram, Facebook, and X, to increase engagement and reach.
  • Evaluation: Continuously assess and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies, seeking ways to improve engagement.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • 3-4+ Years experience leading and driving communication, engagement and/or marketing strategies.
  • Relevant qualifications in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to plan, implement, and evaluate communications and engagement strategies.
  • Experience in managing digital communication channels, web content, and utilising digital media tools.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage constructively with diverse audiences and develop relationships across all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate, and timely communication materials tailored to various audiences.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Photography and video editing skills and experience are highly desirable.
