  • Base salary range: $76,422 - $84,705 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team

Global Engagement leads initiatives focused on achievement of global engagement and the internationalisation strategy. The Global Engagement Office works collaboratively across the University to progress international student recruitment, research, and industry engagement initiatives. It establishes strategic partnerships and maintains strong relationships with key education, research, public and private sector organisations worldwide.

About the opportunity

You will plan and promote UWA’s Global Engagement activities which may include partnership activities, visiting delegations, engaging with international students, and developing new initiatives. You will hold responsibility for communications within the Office and will organise events which will involve both internal and external stakeholders.

About you 

You are engaging and energetic with a passion for international education. You have experience communicating with a range of stakeholders at all levels and a proactive approach to ensuring deadlines are met. Experience working with different cultures is also desirable.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
  • Experience in communications, and event and project planning, management and evaluation
  • Previous experience and knowledge of using social media platforms for business promotion
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills across a range of audiences including students and external stakeholders
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to work flexibly and to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders at varying levels
  • Highly developed planning and organisational skills, and attention to detail
  • A sound understanding of International Higher Education would be advantageous, but not essential
