  • Salary Level HEW 9 + 17% Superannuation + hybrid and flexible work arrangements.

  • Opportunities based at the Melbourne CBD, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.

About You
The Commercial Operations Manager is a critical role that drives the success of domestic and international projects, especially those taking place in the ASEAN region. This position requires a high level of collaboration with executive and senior leaders to ensure the successful monitoring and implementation of project plans.

The Commercial Operations Manager is responsible for facilitating the transition from the project bid phase to execution, in conjunction with the wider Partnership team. They confidently work with wider college teams to track progress, identify areas for improvement and innovation, and produce clear and effective reporting against project plans, timelines, and budgets for the Executive team. With their expertise, the Commercial Operations Manager ensures the success of all projects and contributes to the growth of the organization.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Highly developed project management skills and experience, with experience in leading teams to achieve set objectives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence people at various organisational levels and work collaboratively across functions and areas.

  • Demonstrated organisational, planning and analytical skills and the ability to articulate and provide progress and status reports.

  • Capability to collaborate with stakeholders to achieve strategic priorities and outcomes against firm timelines and within allocated budget.

  • Ability to conceptualise, develop and deliver innovative solutions.

  • Relevant experience in a tertiary environment is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications and extensive experience in commerce, business development or project management are mandatory.

  • A qualification/certification in Project Management Methodology will be highly regarded (e.g. Grad Cert/Grad Diploma of PM, Prince2, Agile)
