About This Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join the Poche Centre on a casual basis. In this role, you will work across a range of projects surrounding Indigenous Health.

As the Graphic Designer, you will work with our Marketing and Communications Advisor and Senior Community Engagement Officer to develop and deliver a range of end-to-end graphic design projects, including oversight of design, postproduction workflow and file management, editing, studio and production.

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing and producing digital content

  • Conceptualising, developing and pitching ideas for creative multimedia/digital content

  • Developing a project-specific work plan of activity

  • Forging internal relationships and communicating effectively with key stakeholders

  • Providing design solutions for a variety of digital and print collateral

  • Leading the creative execution of digital asset production

  • Preparing digital files and liaising with suppliers to manage the production process

This is a casual position at HEW level 6, with an hourly rate in the range of $58.22 to $62.46, plus superannuation of 11%. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.


About You

You will be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of digital media production, planning and direction, and have demonstrated experience in all areas of graphic design, as well as significant experience developing content for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander audiences.

In addition, you will demonstrate:

  • A relevant qualification and/or extensive experience and specialist expertise in the area of graphic design and digital content creation.

  • Highly competent in the development of graphic design and digital content development.

  • Demonstrated skills in editing and post-production tasks to prepare digital content for publishing.

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of digital media trends or the demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.

  • Extensive experience developing content for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander audiences.

  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision, and as part of a team.

  • Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Effective interpersonal, communication skills and time/task management skills.
