  • Remuneration: $116,370 to $127,294 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $98,334 to $107,565 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Business Systems Officer to join Office of Research Services, Research Portfolio, Academic Division.

The Business Systems Officer will provide operational management and support of research management systems to deliver high quality outcomes in relation to the University’s research information, research platforms, and research reporting capabilities. The appointee will be required to engage with business owners, technology partners and external vendors to improve system functionality and usability, ensure system reliability and integrity, and enhance system integration and reporting capabilities.

What you need to succeed

  • Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree with at least four years subsequent relevant experience in data management and systems support.
  • Demonstrated high level digital literacy and competency in the use of information technology, in particular data management concepts, integration configurations, and corporate reporting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills relating to identifying business needs, defining business requirements, and enhancing business processes.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to improve system functionality, ensure data integrity, and deliver robust business solutions.
  • Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills including the ability to consult and liaise with end users and business owners to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated highly developed written communication skills including the ability to articulate solutions when providing systems support and deliver clear and concise reports to positively influence operational decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to be agile to meet overlapping deadlines and effectively manage competing priorities with a commitment to providing high quality support services.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting a corporate data management platform including system configuration, business workflows, and vendor engagement.
