  • Base salary range: $123,330 – $130,504 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Operations) (DVCO) is to oversee the University-wide operational management of the University of Western Australia (UWA).

About the opportunity

As the appointee you will, under broad direction, work with the DVCO to develop policies, budgets, strategic plans, and other key deliverables that will ensure the DVCO’s effective and efficient functioning.  

You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all fiscal, statutory, policy, and legal requirements of the DVCO.  You will work closely with the DVCO to further the University’s mission and goals; and to facilitate strategic liaison and networks with affiliated staff, key external groups and institutions and broader community. 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant postgraduate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Substantial management experience in planning, budgeting, financial control, resource allocation, and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to long term planning and strategic direction at an influential level
  • Project management experience with excellent planning and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to undertake long term planning, set priorities and meet competing deadlines 
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective and collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholder
  • Excellent planning and organistational skills with the demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities, set priorities, and meet deadlines 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new systems and adapt to a dynamic environment
