As Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist, you will use your business analysis and development expertise to implement highly sophisticated and innovative BI solutions and insights in partnership with key stakeholders.

In this role you will:

  • Liaise with consumers of BI across the University to understand, document, evaluate, and prioritise their information needs.
  • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to design, develop, and deliver robust and accessible data flows, analytics, and BI solutions based on industry best practices.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data by adhering to the data governance framework.
  • Prepare and deliver user training and support materials that empower self-service and advance organisational BI maturity.

This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).


What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $99,655 to $112,112 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

  • Superior interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with clients to elicit their information needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to a range of audiences, and produce both functional and technical documentation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to make effective judgements and manage priorities to meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
