About the Role
As a Business Change Manager, you will work alongside senior leaders and business representatives within the University and project teams, to plan and manage change and communications activities, that gain commitment of staff and other stakeholders to embrace, adopt and effectively use digital solutions and changed ways of working. 

Research Value Stream: The Research Value stream is a strategic partner delivering a range of improvements to researcher and higher degree research candidates at the ANU. Through the Digital Master Plan, we are maximising outcomes for the whole ANU research community. The Change and Communication role works with our delivery teams to work with our stakeholders, create and implement communication and change plans, and help ensure successful outcomes before, during and after the change. 

Key Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee effective business change management and communication strategies for successful project delivery.
  • Lead change management aspects of projects, engaging stakeholders to understand and mitigate the impact of change on business operations.
  • Provide implementation advice, deliver training, and customize materials for affected business areas and ANU Colleges.
  • Generate regular reports on change management plan delivery for stakeholders.
  • Conduct stakeholder and data analysis to proactively address issues and minimize adverse impacts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Business Change Management at the University, recommending improvements to systems and frameworks.
  • Support post-implementation activities and adhere to ANU policies, including those related to work health and safety and equal opportunity.
  • Undertake additional duties as requested, aligning with the position's classification and the principle of multi-skilling and professional development.

 

About You
We welcome applications from individuals who possess the following attributes:

  • Possess postgraduate qualifications and practical experience in business change within a large organisation or equivalent education and training in a business change management environment.
  • Provide strategic advice on complex change matters to senior management and stakeholders to enhance organisational outcomes.
  • Have proven project and change management expertise, including planning, coordination, and implementation using diverse methodologies as needed.
  • Exhibit initiative, strategic thinking, creativity, and effective problem-solving skills, with experience in analysing complex data and preparing business change management plans.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead, motivate, mentor, coach, collaborate, consult, and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
