Opportunity for an Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer in Analysis and PDEs to join The School of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Sydney, one of the largest mathematical sciences schools in Australia. As an Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer in Analysis and PDEs you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to teaching and learning design, delivery, and evaluation while continuing to build your research contribution, expertise and impact. You will also benefit from our supportive community of world-class mathematicians and statisticians.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • contribute to in the development, implementation, and promotion of mathematical education programs at the School of Mathematics and Statistics

  • work and collaborate on teaching programs and research with Academic and Professional staff at the University of Sydney

  • make a significant contribution to the research, education and administrative endeavours of their school/faculty while building their reputation as an authoritative figure in the discipline.

About you

  • a PhD or a doctorate in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or related field

  • an outstanding track record of publishing their research in areas of analysis and PDEs

  • evidence of success in competitive research grants

  • evidence of ability, versatility and commitment to excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching

  • experience supervising students at various levels

  • a developing knowledge and understanding of the key strategic issues in the discipline and higher education sector.
