About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Associate Professor in Project Management to join the Project Management team within the College of Project Management, Built Environment and Assets & Maintenance Management (CoPBA), School of Engineering and Technology at CQUniversity.  The Project Management courses enjoy high national and international reputation as the PM courses are accredited by the Global Accreditation Centre-Project Management Institute (GAC-PMI).  We are seeking a talented individual who will play a leading role in the utilisation of innovative pedagogical practice that stimulate learning and to guide the development of interdisciplinary research across the SET. The Associate Professor is expected to guide and support colleagues to ensure PM programmes of study are up to date and leading edge reflecting a depth and breadth of discipline expertise.

 

Applicants at this level are expected to provide academic leadership and foster excellence in research and innovative teaching and engagement activities with industrial partners. If you have been leading research on high level with a proven track record of industry funding and contribution to the advancement of knowledge in project management, green project management, complex management, and sustainability, then this might be the position for you. You will work closely with the Head College (Project Management, Built Environment, and Asset and Maintenance Management) and the Senior Management to support the reform and renewal of activities of the College to grow existing research and to develop an environment that promotes improvement in research, community ties and education performance.

 

We are seeking an Associate Professor in Project Management with a reputation as a thought-leader who shapes future research collaboration and innovation within the discipline.


Position Requirements

 

  • A track record of research publications, with national and international reputation through high impact peer reviewed and refereed journals. A well-established track record of successful competitive research funds, and you will contribute to the research development by pursuing national and international interdisciplinary research collaboration. Proven expertise in serving at a senior level, leading, and mentoring academic teams. Proven evidence of successful supervision  of Research Higher Degree Students (RHDs). 
  • A strong educational leadership with experience in supporting student’s education development through multi-modal delivery strategies and mentoring students to achieve learning goals. 
  • Undertake curriculum upgrading and development within the discipline and to the wider academic, scholarly, professional and research requirements.
  • Be expected to create a real impact on the local, national, and international communities we serve while extending and creating new partnerships with industry and external partners. 
  • A national/international professional recognition and reputational experience serving in a relevant accreditation body (‘s).
