About the Role
Join our innovative Gift Operations team and play a pivotal role in advancing the University's philanthropic mission! As an Associate, you'll actively support and shape how the University receives and manages donations, directly impacting students, research, and the community. Collaborate with Advancement staff to process gifts, liaise with stakeholders, and research gift-related regulations. Draft crucial documentation, ensuring compliance with University policies. As you develop, you will have opportunities to specialise in different areas of philanthropy. This is your chance to join us in making a lasting difference!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Help provide best practice Gift Operations services by triaging service requests, classifying and recording gifts, supporting other team members, and building knowledge across teams.
  • Methodically review and draft philanthropic gift documentation in line with the University’s philanthropic policies, processes, and templates.
  • Proactively attend, participate in, and take notes at meetings and workshops with key stakeholders where you will support relationship building, troubleshooting and resolution of issues arising with the establishment and receiving of gifts.

Who we are looking for
We seek a master organizer who thrives on juggling priorities. You should be proactive and shine in customer service, always researching ahead to ensure you are properly prepared.

You will also have:

  • Appropriate undergraduate qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training per the current Enterprise Agreement classifications.
  • Excellent comprehension and attention to detail, particularly in relation to reviewing and understanding written materials (e.g. policies, regulatory framework, standards, etc), and drafting written documents.
  • A methodical approach to problem solving
  • High level digital literacy, with particular proficiency in finding and sourcing information from a variety of applications and databases.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Post-graduate qualifications and/or experience in Law, Taxation or Accounting.
  • Experience drafting written contracts or agreements.
  • Experience with administering externally-funded projects, including reporting back to funders.
