Salary: Level A – $80,258 - $108,906 p.a. (pro rata for part-time) plus 17% super

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative educator to join the Department of Rural Health's Going Rural Health team. You will have the chance to design and develop cutting-edge educational resources, modules, and workshops aimed at enhancing the rural placement experience for nursing and allied health students. This role offers the unique opportunity to travel across rural regions, delivering education programmes to support students in achieving their learning goals. Join our dynamic team dedicated to enriching the educational experience and making a meaningful impact on rural healthcare.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and develop new and innovative approaches to education using diverse delivery modes for students undertaking a rural placement and their supervisors
- Design and develop, support, maintain and promote accessible educational resources for Going Rural Health students and supervisors
- Deliver education, training, educational resources and online modules to students undertaking a rural clinical placement and their supervisors
- Employ evidence-based approaches to education, teaching and student placements
Who We Are Looking For
You excel in collaborating with diverse communities and understand rural healthcare dynamics. Your expertise lies in fostering partnerships with local stakeholders to enhance healthcare access and education in rural areas.
You will also have:
- Qualification in a nursing or allied health discipline
- Experience in providing education or training sessions to nursing or allied health students or professionals
- Experience in student support, individual mentoring and/or one-on-one education
- Experience in developing curriculum and education to address specific practice needs
- Demonstrated innovation in nursing and allied health education
- Commitment to working in multidisciplinary settings and adopting interprofessional approaches

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
