We are reducing the overall use of academic casual employment and providing meaningful pathways for casual academic staff to ongoing academic employment through our casual consolidation project.

To be eligible, you must (a) Have casual experience totalling at least two (2) teaching sessions at La Trobe University in the previous two (2) years; (b) Have not held a continuing position in a university in the previous three (3) years.

About the position

As an Associate Lecturer in Early Childhood Education, you will be instrumental in:

Developing and delivering innovative curriculum and high-quality learning experiences in early childhood education.

Engaging in scholarly activities that contribute to the scholarship of teaching and influence policy and professional practice.

Building relationships with professional networks and researchers to enhance curriculum innovation and employability pathways.

The candidate:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with evidence of higher-level study or professional engagement.
  • Has a proven track record of effective teaching and curriculum development across various modes of delivery.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in teaching, with tangible outcomes that have enhanced student experiences.
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a dedication to diversity and inclusivity.Top of Form
