  • Salary HEW 6 ($89,386 - $96,756) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus.

About the Role

The Associate Learning Designer (ALD) is an integral part of the Learning Design team at DSC. The ALD’s primary responsibility is to support the creation of online learning resources and fit-for-purpose learning activities into courses in the RMIT Canvas learning management system (LMS). The ALD will work collaboratively with the learning design team and Academic staff during the course build and course quality review process. The ALD will leverage their skills in instructional design principles, digital technologies, and Canvas functionalities to ensure the development of high-quality courses within DSC’s learning design system and processes.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Experience working with a range of educational digital tools.
  • A love of technology and learning with an ability to pick up new technologies quickly.
  • A strong design aesthetic with the ability to work to a brief or style guide.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as a team and give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • Ability to anticipate deadlines, and plan tasks accordingly.
  • Basic/Intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS is an advantage.
