About your New Team: Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation.  This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

About the Role: In a bustling academic environment spanning Parkville and Southbank campuses, an exciting opportunity awaits. As the Associate Director, Future Students, you'll be at the helm of student recruitment, selection, and admissions within the Arts and Fine Arts & Music faculties. 

Your mission? Craft ingenious recruitment and admission strategies, catered for both local and international prospects. Provide stellar service to potential students, guiding them towards their academic dreams. Oversee the meticulous processing and assessment of graduate coursework applications, ensuring excellence at every step. 

But you won't be navigating this journey alone. Collaborating closely with Faculty Leadership, you'll align strategies with divisional goals, shaping the future of student engagement. Leading a team of recruitment and admissions specialists, you'll inspire excellence and drive towards ambitious targets.

About You: Ideally you will possess a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field along with extensive managerial experience in a complex organizational setting.  

You will be able to demonstrate proficiency in strategic leadership, particularly in the development and implementation of student acquisition plans while effectively managing organizational resources. Additionally, you can demonstrate strong relationship-building skills, and are capable of managing diverse stakeholders within a complex environment. Your interpersonal finesse, coupled with exceptional negotiation abilities, should enable you to navigate complex business scenarios with ease. 

Additionally, the ideal candidate should have a proven track record of leading high-performance teams, fostering collaboration, and delivering exceptional service outcomes while adhering to budget constraints. Their commitment to the University's values should be evident through actions that prioritize institutional interests, strive for service excellence, and promote collaborative relationships within the workplace. 

Finally, and although not essential, it would also be desirable if you had some knowledge of a second language, and also brought some experience in the selection and admission of students from key international markets.
