About the Role:

La Trobe Advancement is at the forefront of philanthropic fundraising and alumni engagement. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Director Campaign to lead and drive the strategic planning and execution of our ambitious Make Your Impact campaign. La Trobe is on an exciting trajectory and this role will work with university stakeholders and volunteer leaders to identify philanthropic opportunities that are of interest to high value donors and supporters.  This senior operational leadership role is pivotal in achieving our goal of raising $200M by 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide leadership and continuous development for the Make Your Impact campaign, ensuring alignment with the University’s strategic objectives.
  • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment within the Advancement team and across campuses, engaging academic leadership and colleagues in the campaign.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a team of professionals, overseeing performance and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with a wide range of external stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and volunteers, to build and strengthen relationships.
  • Campaign Communication: Oversee all campaign communications, including maintaining the campaign website and developing print materials.
  • Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate events related to the campaign, reflecting its philosophy and priorities.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Prepare and deliver campaign reports, using data and performance metrics to analyse progress and implement best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications with extensive fundraising experience, preferably in the higher education sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record of successful leadership in planning, developing, and executing fundraising strategies in a large organization.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic analysis, research, planning, and advisory skills.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date practices in communication, marketing, and branding.
