  • Salary: $76,304 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, this role is responsible for the delivery of innovative and creative communications initiatives to engage and inspire the University’s Alumni and the general community to maintain strong ties with the University and develop strategies to support the University’s fundraising and crowdfunding campaigns. 

This position will facilitate communication within the University, as well as between the University and its stakeholders and Alumni. The position will also support Alumni to Alumni engagement, international chapter engagement, and the utilisation of online communications and systems to encourage mentorships, internships, and careers.

About Advancement Services

The Advancement Services Unit’s function is the strategic management of relationships to increase understanding and support among key University constituents.  This includes alumni and friends of the University, and members of the community and philanthropic organisations of all types.  The unit aims to secure financial support from donors who wish to contribute to the achievement of the University of South Australia’s visions and values; engage alumni in the life of the University as volunteers, advocates, supporters and donors; and manage relationships with current and potential supporters of the University.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience and knowledge in communications, journalism, multimedia, marketing or similar
  • Proven ability to write, communicate and engage effectively on multiple media platforms
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of effective social media strategies for a global audience
  • High level written and verbal communication skills and experience in the preparation and delivery of quality customer service.
