About the Role
Are you passionate about shaping the future of higher education? Join our dynamic team within the Faculty of Science Divisional Group. As an Admissions and Selection Officer for Science, you'll be at the forefront of managing admissions processes for both graduate and undergraduate coursework programs.
Your role involves providing exceptional customer service and expert guidance to prospective students, while also streamlining admissions procedures and developing innovative systems. You'll play a crucial part in meeting growing recruitment targets and fostering collaborative relationships across the university community. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Admissions & Selection Coordinator (Science) in planning and monitoring admissions for Science, meeting KPIs.
  • Managing talent-based selection process for all Science degrees, both undergraduate and graduate.
  • Collaborating with academic staff to ensure fair and timely talent-based applicant selection.

You will also have:

  • A relevant degree and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training;
  • Demonstrated a high level of administration skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in databases and the suite of Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute towards problem solving, and the ability to think flexibly and review processes for continuous improvement.

Your new team – Student and Scholarly Services - Admissions Team
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation.  This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

The Admissions team manages admissions and selection processes for courses and scholarships that require deep discipline knowledge and provides expert advice and support to course and scholarship selection committees.
