Student Services is the student administration centre of Curtin University, providing and coordinating administrative services to support both staff and students. Under the Student Management work area, the Admissions Office ensures the University selects the best students for its courses in an equitable, accountable and transparent manner.


Admission Advisors

We are currently searching for multiple Admissions Advisors to join the fast-paced and dynamic team of superstars. As an Admission Advisor, you will undertake the evaluation and assessment of applications for Admission and recognition of prior learning. You can look forward to working amongst a driven and close-knit team, supporting applicants gain entry into their desired course or pathway solution.


Roles and responsibilities include:
  • Evaluate applications for entry to courses offered by the University.
  • Assess national and overseas qualifications in line with University policies.
  • Maintain knowledge and provide advice on course entry requirements, alternative solutions and pathway courses for applicants who not yet qualify for admission into their desired course.
  • Provide a customer focused, quality evaluation and advisory service to all stakeholders on Admission requirements.
  • Undertake projects required to maintain and improve pathways, our application systems and processes.
You will ideally have:
  • A personable and friendly disposition, with demonstrated experience in delivering high quality customer service.
  • Great organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply your expertise in line with policy, procedures and guidelines.
  • Accuracy in data entry, information retrieval and excellent computer skills.
  • No reservations about being part of a supportive team which thrives on meeting goals and deadlines.
Admissions Support Officer

As an Admissions Support Officer, you will be the friendly face and knowledgeable guide for applicants seeking admission to our esteemed institution. You will provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries and assisting with application procedures. You'll also play a vital role in supporting the evaluation and processing of applications, ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process.


Roles and responsibilities include:
  • Provide evaluation, advisory services, and guidance on admissions, qualifications, and Credit for Recognised Learning procedures.
  • Conduct initial application scrutiny and request additional information when needed.
  • Generate official communications, including offer letters, for qualified applicants.
  • Assess admissions applications based on guidelines, meet turnaround times, and maintain knowledge of university courses and entry requirements.
You will ideally have:
  • Strong commitment to customer service and helping individuals achieve their educational goals.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
