About the opportunity
The Centre for Continuing Education is looking for an Administrative Officer to perform general administrative duties and provide support. The role requires strong interpersonal, administrative and organisation skills, and the successful candidate must be happy to undertake ad-hoc duties and projects appropriate within the classification level as required. Tasks include liaising with customers and facilitators, assisting in the planning and scheduling of CCE’s short course program, assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations, reviewing course materials to ensure they are brand compliant, and client services and general admin-related tasks.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
provide general administrative services and support
assist in the planning and scheduling of CCE’s short course program
respond to stakeholder enquiries, ensuring communication is clear and timely
assist in preparing reports and presentations
review course materials to ensure they are brand compliant
undertake ad-hoc projects and other activities.
About you
Proven administrative and customer service experience
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (specifically PowerPoint and Word), with confidence using multiple information technology platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement
An all-rounder with the ability to prioritise workloads and work across multiple areas simultaneously
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or the equivalent in training and experience

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position
