  • Remuneration: Level 5 $82,818 - $93,711 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading
  • Location:  Kensington, NSW (hybrid working)

Why Your Role Matters:

The Office of the CFO provides governance, strategic, operational and executive level support to the Chief Financial Officer and the broader operations within Finance, Division of Operations at UNSW.

The role of Administrative Officer provides practical and proactive administrative support to Finance senior stakeholders. This includes supporting the day-to-day operations of the CFO office, facilitating effective communication, and supporting projects on behalf of the Finance Leadership Team (FLT). The Administrative Officer will ensure that administrative systems and processes are executed to a high standard and support stakeholders with sound judgement and initiative.

The role reports to the Executive Officer and has no direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a high level of customer service is provided.
  • Respond to a diverse and complex range of enquiries using judgement and initiative whilst applying UNSW policy and procedures using discretion and accountability for decision making.
  • Prepare briefing notes, agendas, minutes, reports, presentations, and other documents as required.
  • Manage expenses, credit card transactions, invoices and travel arrangements for the team with accuracy and promptness and in line with university financial procedures working with Finance Operations as required.
  • Participate in relevant projects and business improvement activities to streamline processes and facilitate administrative efficiency.
  • Support the day to day operations of the Office of the CFO including equipment tracking, managing stationery supplies as well as the set up of shared workspaces, including meeting rooms and print rooms.

Who You Are:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with customer service focus including the ability to liaise effectively with diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines whilst maintaining high level attention to detail.
  • Proven skills in preparing documentation, presentations and reports, and advanced competency in the use of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and contributing to projects and initiatives.
