  • Salary HEW 6.1 ($85,948) + 17% Superannuation

About the Position 


 
The Administrative Advisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the delivery of key administrative tasks relating to the RMIT offshore graduation ceremonies in terms of communication, marketing and distribution of information and schedules to staff and students. This includes: liaison with offshore partner colleagues and venues, students, and senior RMIT staff, production and distribution of the order of proceedings, ceremony programs, compilation of staff travel schedules, coordination of transfers, academic dress and printing of testamurs/prize certificates. 


In addition, the Administrative Advisor works in partnership with the student communications team to coordinate graduation communication and review and update the completion and graduation website content during the year. 


The Administrative Advisor provides high level administrative support to the Associate Director, Completions, Awards and Graduations. This includes high level support for project work and the Melbourne graduation ceremony 


This role is responsible for providing quality customer service, accurate information and advice to both students and RMIT staff via SMPs and the various unit email accounts. 


 


To be successful in this position, you’ll have: 


  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skillsProven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships. 

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to a broad range of individuals and groups, and to work across internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Proven high-level organisational skills, with a strong ability to set priorities, plan and organise workloads to achieve specific objectives to meet tight deadlines. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. 

  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage workflows and competing priorities, including ability to work under pressure. 

  • Proficient computer skills using People Soft, Microsoft Office, email and the internet with sound word processing and proof-reading skills. 


Qualifications 


  • Diploma or degree in relevant discipline and/or relevant experience required. 

  • Experience within a Higher Education Sector and/or TAFE is desirable. 


 


Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
