  • Commencement Salary: $70,476 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About You 

You are a skilled Administration Officer with a keen eye for detail and passion for providing excellent customer service. You deliver results and provide solutions through logical, creative and innovative thinking.  

About the Role 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will undertake financial administration duties including reviewing and approving ProMaster expenses.  You will also be responsible for general administrative services that support research activities for the Centre of Cancer Biology including distributing. This includes organising paperwork for domestic and international visitors, organising building access for new staff and students, ordering office and kitchen supplies, minute taking, updating e-mail distribution lists, and maintaining websites. 

About the Centre for Cancer Biology 

The Centre for Cancer Biology (CCB) is an alliance between the University of South Australia and CALHN and is co-located with other cancer-focussed researchers within a purpose-built building in Adelaide’s Biotech and Medical Precinct.  The CCB studies the fundamental causes of cancer in order to find new ways to prevent and treat the disease and is a recognised hub for innovative science leading to breakthrough therapies.    

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative role involving the provision of high-quality customer service to key stakeholders both internal and external to an organisation 
  • An understanding of finance administration including reconciliations, accounts receivable and accounts payable 
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities under broad direction 
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills including preparation of written materials and experience in liaising with people at all levels both internal and external to an organisation to deliver quality customer service 
  • Experience in using all programs in the Microsoft Office suite and corporate information systems
