About the Role
Drive continuous improvement and make a real impact in legal education as you oversee a diverse range of functions, ensuring smooth operations for our esteemed Melbourne Law Masters, Juris Doctor, Law Breadth, and Public Administration programs. From facilitating faculty members to enriching student experiences, this role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of the Academic Support Office.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the teaching and learning operations for, and development of, coursework programs.
  • Assisting with student enrolment management, teacher support, program delivery and development of activities including project management support for short term initiatives, planning, promotion and communication of activities.
  • Subject administration, including but not limited to: facilitating enrolments; providing class lists and class photos; development of online forms; management of email templates; and the provision of support to subject coordinators and teachers.
  • Coordinating all aspects of the compilation, production and distribution of subject materials (ensuring copyright compliance for online materials) and the Teachers’ Guides.

Who We Are Looking For
You effectively manage competing demands and adeptly solve problems while providing high-level client service. Demonstrating sound judgment, diplomacy, and discretion, you also exhibit initiative, flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

You will also have:

  • A relevant degree and subsequent work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • High-level problem-solving skills and analytical ability, including the ability to manage complex tasks, obtain and interpret information, apply judgement and make specific recommendations and/or solutions.
  • Demonstrated high level organisational skills including the capacity to set priorities and work to deadlines in a busy and changing environment with conflicting demands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with a range of people in an understanding, supporting and/or influencing manner to build strong positive working relationships.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
